3. WHAT YOU CAN (AND SHOULD) EXPORT BEFORE CANCELLING

CRITICAL — Download these three first:

  2. Balance Sheet — for every year end
  3. Cash Flow Statement — for every year

Essential Detail Exports:

  1. General Ledger (all transactions) — this is the single most important file. It contains every transaction and can be searched with Ctrl+F in Excel. Export for ALL dates.
  2. Trial Balance — for current and prior years
  3. Chart of Accounts — your full account list
  4. Customer List — with contact details, balances
  5. Vendor List — with contact details, 1099 info
  6. Employee List — if using payroll
  7. Products & Services List — inventory items, pricing

For Tax Purposes:

  1. Sales Tax Liability Report — all periods
  2. Payroll Tax Forms — all quarters/years filed (941, 940, W-2s, W-3s, 1099s)
  3. 1099 Transaction Detail — for contractor payments
  4. Audit Log — chronological record of all changes

Attachments & Documents:

  1. All uploaded receipts and attachments — these are NOT included in report exports. Download them individually from the transaction they're attached to, or use the "Attachments" list under the Gear menu if available.
